Icons of sixteen feasts represent scenes from the Gospel, revealing the life of the Saviour. The question of its origin is a point at issue. According to one version some of the icons were executed by Andrei Rublev, i.e. "The Annunciation", "The Nativity", "The Purification", "Epiphany", "The Transfiguration", "The Resurrection of Christ", "Entrance into Jerusalem".
